I forgot to give my Full Moon report in the last Weekend Entertainment Guide because there was too much other stuff going on, so here goes.
I have been dismayed by some of the rhetoric circulating online about tomorrow’s Full Moon. Yes, it is a Full Moon in a Grand Cross with Mars and Pluto. Yes, the Grand Cross is angular when the chart is cast for Washington, DC. As with the April 8, 2024, Solar Eclipse, however, the fearmongering is too much.
I was tempted to write the whole thing off as a mass hysteria. Then, last night making dinner, I cut my thumb badly. I crunched a tissue over the bleeding wound to get to a Zoom meeting, only to learn in the course of the meeting that my ninth grade English teacher, who shifted to teaching art later in her career, had died in a horrific car accident earlier that day. After the meeting, I found out that a family friend has a serious illness.
Well, it is different to have real problems, as opposed to the swirling cesspool of speculation that keeps the internet in perpetual motion.
I think the point of the Full Moon in primal, individualistic Aries is to be here now and live your own life. All of the stuff that gets speculated about — something could happen with one of the presidential candidates, World War III could start, a cabal of deranged elites could release aerosolized Ebola to cull the population, and so on — may or may not turn out to be true. You just have to live your own life in the meantime.
I am still editing essays for Changing of the Guards: Pluto on the Precipice. Earlier this month, I had an especially good editing session taking a printout of one of the essays to a park and marking it up by hand. I got in the mood listening to Radiohead’s OK Computer album, which I hadn’t listened to in a while, on the drive out there.
Breathe, keep breathing
Don’t lose your nerve
from “Exit Music (For A Film)” has become my mantra for the rest of the project.
Breathe, keep breathing
Don’t lose your nerve
Breathe, keep breathing
I can’t do this alone
My natal Sun-Moon is in the fray for this one, so I'll probably join you in the Radiohead listening party. My son required a hospital visit yesterday after sustaining a cut to his forehead. This seems to be a Mars-Pluto theme.
On the world transit front, I see the developing situation with Israel/Lebanon as being related to the Mars-Pluto transit. Recall that the latest cycles of violence with Russia/Ukraine and Israel/Gaza were initiated (escalated) under Mars-Pluto hard aspects in February 2022 and October 2023. I expect the Full Moon will emphasize these disturbing events in its characteristic way.
Radiohead for the win. 🥇
