For the past year, I’ve been attending Jane de Forest’s Moon gatherings — free signup at https://www.janesinspiration.com/moon-gatherings
We meet on Zoom for every New Moon and Full Moon shortly before whatever time the New Moon or Full Moon is exact. Some gatherings take place during normal waking hours for attendees in the United States and Canada, and some gatherings take place during normal waking hours for attendees in Europe.
Tomorrow’s Full Moon is exact at 4:30 am in Eugene, Oregon, where I live, so I am typing up my notes on the astrology in advance, as I am typically not awake at 4:30 am.
Key points of this Full Moon’s astrology, regardless of city
The Sun is right between Mercury and Saturn, so this Full Moon is engaging with Mercury and Saturn as well. Mercury is the planet of thought and communication, and Saturn is the planet of discipline and structure. This is a great time to get organized. Typing up meeting notes in advance could be one example of that.
Broadly speaking, Jupiter is trine the Moon and sextile the Sun, Mercury, and Saturn. Jupiter represents assistance and good fortune, potentially lending support to whatever effort you make to get organized.
Jupiter and Saturn have been close to a sextile, though the aspect is not quite exact, for the whole month of February. This could add a certain amount of stability to world events despite simmering tension.
Later in the day on Feb. 24, Venus squares Jupiter exactly. Venus and Jupiter both want to have fun, and this desire could be hard to resist with a stressful square aspect. It’s pulling in the opposite direction from the super-organized Full Moon with Mercury and Saturn. We’ll have to make room for both longings.
Feb. 24 Full Moon for Washington, DC
When the Full Moon chart is cast for Washington, DC, Neptune is close to the Ascendant. Planets close to angles typically have a prominent influence. Neptune is associated with ambiguity and confusion, and the Ascendant is how you present yourself to the world, so there could be some ambiguity surrounding how the United States presents itself to the world at this time.
Neptune is also associated with compassion, spirituality, and sacrifice. With Neptune conjunct the Ascendant, it might be important to look at the difference between being seen as compassionate and actually being compassionate. What is the United States willing to sacrifice in order to be seen as compassionate, and is that sacrifice worth it?
Feb. 24 Full Moon for London
When the Full Moon chart is cast for London, Saturn is tightly conjunct the Midheaven. The Midheaven is associated with leadership and authority, and Saturn can provide tests and trials.
