Today’s New Moon is going to have the Sun and Moon square Uranus no matter what city the chart is cast for. However, some cities have more interesting activity around the angles of the chart than others, meaning they might feel the energy more strongly.
I began by running the chart for Eugene, Oregon, where I live. Within Solar Fire, I was then able to use Chart > Locality to convert the New Moon chart from Eugene to other cities.
Leadership issues in Washington, DC, and London
Washington, DC, has a more interesting chart than Eugene for the New Moon. Note that Uranus is conjunct the Midheaven, which has to do with leadership and authority, while the Sun and the Moon are close to the Descendant.
I would connect the Uranus-Midheaven conjunction to the report released earlier this month by Special Counsel Robert K. Hur regarding President Joe Biden’s handling of classified documents. The report declined to recommend prosecution on grounds including the following: “We have also considered that, at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
I also ran the chart for London, as they may be dealing with similar issues given the recent cancer diagnosis of King Charles III. There, the New Moon is in the 4th house with Pluto conjunct the IC, which makes sense for issues with the Royal Family. Continuing that theme, Prince William’s wife Kate is also recuperating from surgery as reported by NBC News. This chart has the nodes close to the AC/DC axis, making London a place to watch over the next month.
Moscow makes its case
The New Moon chart for Moscow has Uranus closely conjunct the Descendant, as well as the Sun and the Moon in the 3rd House of Communication. This makes sense for the controversial interview between Tucker Carlson and Vladimir Putin earlier this month.
The Middle East keeps its head down
I was surprised to see that both Jerusalem and Tehran have everything below the horizon on their New Moon charts. Jerusalem has Saturn conjunct the IC, and Tehran has Neptune conjunct the IC, but otherwise, the angles are clear. There may be activity behind the scenes this month — with both having the New Moon in the 3rd House of Communication, perhaps there will be a lot of talking — but these charts don’t look like a big, public explosion to me.
Beijing gets to define itself
Of all the charts in this post, Beijing seems likely to enjoy this New Moon the most. Others have the Descendant emphasized, which often means having to respond to something someone else is doing. Beijing, however, has the Ascendant emphasized, meaning it has the opportunity to set the tone and chart its own course.
The October 1, 1949, chart commonly used for the nation of China has both the Moon and the Ascendant in Aquarius. The Astrology Podcast’s episode on Pluto in Aquarius pointed out that China was also prominent during past Pluto in Aquarius transits, even though it didn’t yet have the 1949 chart. Interestingly, China is known for celebrating the New Year at the New Moon in Aquarius, which strikes me as additional evidence of some deep connection between China and Aquarius.
Remote viewing update
claimed on their members-only website that they will soon post a video of their remote viewers doing a blind target remote viewing of the Rapture. I would never have thought of such a target myself — that’s why I subscribe!I am still trying to get regular remote viewing practice going on my Substack’s paid subscriber chat. I have a target up that will be revealed in about a week. Hint: it’s not the Rapture.
