Pisces/Virgo nodes, Los Angeles fires, Unrivaled basketball
There has been some slow-moving astrological influence in Pisces pretty consistently since 2003 — first Uranus from 2003 to 2011, then Chiron from 2010 to 2019, and then Neptune starting in 2011, eventually joined by Saturn in 2023. Stretching the sensitive vibes out just a little longer, the North Node moved into Pisces on January 11, 2025. Is it time to start taking inventory of what we’ve learned from all this?

I second her caveat that it’s not always the right approach for every person or every illness, but I have been sick off and on for most of this month, and I feel like I needed that to physically process the mental toxicity of transiting Pluto opposite my natal Mercury, which had its final hit in December 2024.
Posts about the North Node moving into Pisces Jan. 11
, Node ShiftAstroTerica revisits previous periods with the North Node in Pisces and the South Node in Virgo. The most recent was June 2006-December 2007. I graduated from college in that window and then started looking into astrology sometime during the month of December 2007. My interest in astrology will therefore have its own nodal return in the next couple of years — that makes me old!
Digging deeper into my memory of the last time the nodes changed sign from Aries NN/Libra SN to Pisces NN/Virgo SN, I had a lot of friendship drama during the part of my time in college when the nodes were in Aries/Libra (my 7th/1st houses); this period included both my first nodal return and transiting Neptune in Aquarius square my Scorpio Moon. After the nodes moved into Pisces/Virgo (my 6th/12th houses), I actually had a pretty peaceful senior year on the friendship front — I became more comfortable with spending time alone, and the friendships that remained were those that were less dramatic. I also became sort of checked out across the board, a theme reinforced by transiting Neptune in Aquarius opposing my Leo Sun. I did not yet understand that I was about to graduate into the Great Recession and discover astrology shortly thereafter, but perhaps I was unconsciously preparing for that on some level.
Interestingly, the South Node and Saturn were co-present in Virgo for the last few months of 2007 — I wrote about the Saturn in Virgo component of that time here. This time around, the North Node will be co-present with Saturn in Pisces for the first part of the Pisces North Node/Virgo South Node transit.

, Change of FateGeary connects the nodes’ new home in Pisces/Virgo to the growing interest in telepathy. I have recently written about telepathy in relation to Uranus approaching Gemini, but it is important to remember that big trends are often supported by multiple astrological influences working together rather than just caused by one thing.

New basketball league
A reader sent in a story tip about Unrivaled, a new women’s basketball league that will begin play today. The three-on-three format is set up to give WNBA players something to do during the offseason without interfering with their WNBA obligations. The Phantom BC team includes Sabrina Ionescu and Satou Sabally, who both previously played for the University of Oregon.
Starting a new athletic league is a great outlet for the energy of Mars opposite the Sun and Pluto. The Venus-Saturn conjunction sextile Mercury could refer to the effort to raise the profile of women’s sports. Incorporating help from investors, Unrivaled plans to offer contracts with “the highest average salary in women’s pro sports league history,” as reported by CNBC.

Another great post, Eva, thank you for sharing. I love these round-ups as I find out so much stuff! And yes the Nodes are a fun way to check whether astrology works. I love delving into nodal transits - the trouble is I often don't remember what I was doing during the years in question (unfortunately this is a problem once you're well into the mid-life era! :)
