Weekend Entertainment Guide 3/28/25 + New Moon 3/29/25
Neptune in Aries, Solar Eclipse, Greenland, Signal App, Rising Sign Wills
For the first time in the life of anyone now living, Neptune will enter Aries on March 30, 2025. I am most looking forward to this influence bringing about the demise of the cancel culture that has defined the Neptune in Pisces era.
in Why censorship is making us all dumber uses the term “cognitive rigidity” to describe the censorious tendencies present on both ends of the political spectrum and notes that this approach prevents the sort of deep thinking necessary to solve serious problems.“Rigidity” is not typically a word thought of in association with oceanic Neptune or its home sign, slippery Pisces. What Neptune does is idealize, though, and in sentimental Pisces, it has idealized comfort at any cost.
Comfort is often a worthy goal, but it is not the only worthy goal — sometimes it needs to be balanced against other valid interests.
Solar Eclipse (New Moon) 3/29/25
An eclipse happens when a Full Moon or New Moon takes place close to the North Node or South Node. The Full Moon or New Moon is therefore typically in the same sign as the node in question. However, this New Moon is in Aries, and even though the North Node moved on to Pisces in January 2025, it’s still close enough to the New Moon to count as a partial eclipse. (The closer the New Moon or Full Moon is to the node, the more total the eclipse.)
I think the keyword for this Solar Eclipse is resilience. It’s our last eclipse in Aries/Libra for many years — the nodes have already moved on to Pisces/Virgo, so this is basically an afterthought. We have already survived the most intense part of the Aries/Libra lesson.
This isn’t the Total Solar Eclipse of April 8, 2024, that people completely lost their minds over. In that case, the Sun was very close to the North Node in Aries. Even then, the wacky rumors about CERN destroying the world and so on failed to amount to anything.
Still, there may be a need at this time to mop up and move on from whatever did go wrong during the nodes’ transit through Aries and Libra.
So, what can resilience look like? I think I recently saw in a Dan Savage column the saying, “The best way to get over someone is to get under someone else.” Unfortunately, I am having trouble finding the citation for this, but I as a repressed nerd could not have made up such a saying on my own. It has stuck with me, though, in the last couple of weeks. Funny enough, this Solar Eclipse in Aries opposes Savage’s natal Sun conjunct Mercury in Libra.
Solar Eclipse spotlights Greenland
The path of the March 29 Solar Eclipse, as shown on timeanddate, is basically sitting on Greenland, which has received more than its usual amount of attention lately because President Donald Trump is still talking about acquiring it for the United States. As noted in Weekend Entertainment Guide 1/10/25, the path of the Total Solar Eclipse of August 12, 2026, will also go through Greenland.
Greenland’s Self-Government Act, which residents voted for in 2008, took effect on June 21, 2009. Like fellow 2009 entity Bitcoin, this government of Greenland has Saturn in Virgo opposite Uranus in Pisces, which the Lunar Eclipse of March 13-14, 2025, activated.
Why does Donald Trump care about Greenland? Some on the conspiratorial side of things have suggested that he is attempting to acquire it as part of a globalist agenda — the exact sort of agenda that many Trump supporters assumed he was defending the United States against! I don’t know for sure whether this is true. I have observed that people tend to see what they want to see in Trump, whether they are looking for a scapegoat to unquestioningly demonize or a savior to unquestioningly worship. Trump has a prominent natal configuration in Gemini and Sagittarius that transiting Neptune in Pisces has been T-squaring for the past several years, which potentially contributes to this fog of confusion around him. As Neptune proceeds into Aries, the truth of whoever he actually is may finally come out, for better or for worse.

Inspired by Stenbacka’s analysis, I then generated a chart for the Signal app itself. Wikipedia gives the release date for the Signal app as July 29, 2014. Open Whisper Systems, the since-dissolved company that originally created it, was based in San Francisco.
Natally, Signal has the North Node in Libra and South Node conjunct Uranus in Aries, T-squared by Mercury in Cancer. Currently, transiting Chiron in Aries and transiting Mars in Cancer are triggering the difficult potential of this natal configuration.
Additionally, transiting Pluto in Aquarius has been squaring Signal’s natal Mars in Scorpio lately.

Rising sign wills
On March 30, 2025, Neptune will leave Pisces for Aries for the first time in more than 100 years. Neptune spends about 14 years in each zodiac sign, so everyone has had Neptune activating whatever house is associated with Pisces in their natal chart since 2011.
Having Neptune finally move on from a particular house of your chart can be like graduating from a long, drawn-out lesson. I have therefore asked readers to submit Rising sign wills similar to the senior wills done at some schools where the graduating seniors will things like a favorite desk to students in the class behind them.

I,
, a Cancer Rising, will to Leo Risings, over a decade of philosophical exploration of the most spiritual and esoteric matters, with an additional invitation into pursuing some form of Higher Education to learn something new in such fields. After all, before Neptune entered my 9th house in 2011, I hadn't even considered the idea that I'd pursue a new career in astrology and divination, and yet, after several years of study, here I am, ready to turn what I've learned into a more 10th House professional pursuit. Thank you, Neptune! Enjoy the transit, Leo Risings!

I, Eva Sylwester, a Libra Rising, will to Scorpio Risings openness to mystery about the workings of the human body. I became an acupuncture patient right before Neptune went into Pisces, and I have really enjoyed learning about five element theory, the system of thought behind acupuncture. That knowledge has helped me develop awareness of my body and notice patterns in any symptoms I experience. Although there are definitely situations where the standard Western goal-oriented approach to health issues is appropriate, Neptune’s transit through your 6th house can be an interesting time to look for deeper meaning in your physical complaints.
To Leo rising friends from a Cancer rising soul: My will to you is not to be afraid of the collective or cling to yourself and your creations. Neptune in the 9th allows you to widen your perception of philosophies and religions. That means putting aside judgements against whatever belief systems you’ve discarded or disdained and to recognize that people hold their beliefs dear. What are they like? What do they need? What do they receive for the beliefs they hold? Can you extend an embrace of compassion if not love?
Neptune in the 9th means confronting your own fears and illusions based on incorrect or limited beliefs. Let them dissolve into that ocean of understanding. Surrender your ego-attachment for a “higher truth” above the fog of confusion or delusion. Neptune in Aries means you can walk with a spear in your hand through any fog, ready to fight the phantoms that are not flesh-and-blood. In your other hand, carry a basket filled with food and nurture, aid of all kinds to all people and living things.
Neptune in Aries is the Good Samaritan—not passive, but active. The 9th house invites you to widen your scope, to join class action suits, to speak up to authorities who can change laws, to extend your reach internationally. Tap your resources—Neptune incorporated them into our being during its sojourn through the 8th house. Use them, rely upon them.
Neptune always fosters serendipity wherever it goes. “Absolute reality,” as Maharishi Mahesh Yogi called it, versus “Relative Reality,” is unbounded. Anything can be manifested. In Aries, you can become a walking manifester, sharing the gift of *you*, and there is no one like you. Extend your hand in gestures of giving of yourself, and it will be full when you draw it close to you.
Thanks as always. Since I'm weak on astronomy, I appreciate your explanation of the Nodes. i have a little different take on Neptune in Pisces and of Neptune in Aries. I don't see how Neptune in Pisces can be anything but oceanic, without boundaries and thus untethered from concrete reality. During the years since 2011, we collectively realized we are a collective, then understood we're all in this together--facing the global and existential climate crisis, mass migrations, refugees and immigrants, extinctions, the unhoused, people suffering with addiction diseases, and hungry people in general, and then Covid. To me, the transit was the calling to our Buddha natures, to expand compassion, to marry heart and soul with observations of all that is. Pisces calling forth the opposite in Virgo's painfully accurate view of reality. the forest now seeing the trees and thereby the whole.
Now shifting to Neptune in Aries, I think we need to grow into compassionate action and activism, on behalf of the collective more than the individual. Instead of resiliency, I see a calling forth of courage and the need to stand up and fight for the rights of all--against injustice, intolerance, bigotry, greed, the isms, etc.
