Brilliant insights on astro-twins, Eva! Strangely enough, I didn’t quite register it until reading this, but just last week, someone reached out for a reading who shares my exact birthday. Of course it’s Gemini season… why didn't I see that coming?
So are you doing the reading -- and are you finding it easier or harder than other readings? If I had to read for an astro-twin of mine, I would probably be tempted to project my own stuff onto the client. It would take effort to see them as separate from me and my own experiences.
I'll let you know how it goes, but I'll do my best to treat it as any reading. It's the astrology and the conversation that unfold, and as always, the Michelle has to step away for a moment. So the plan is to simply do the reading and I'll think about similarities with my own life later. Maybe! 😃
Sounds good. I still haven't done much with client readings myself, but the other situation I can imagine being difficult is reading for someone who is an astro-twin of a significant person in my life, like a family member or close friend. Projection could be a risk there too!
Thunberg, who I admire, seems to typify many of the Saturn-Pluto qualities that Rick Tarnas identified in Cosmos and Psyche, most notably in her proclivity towards stern moral judgement, and even condemnation of those she deems responsible for the ecological catastrophe we find ourselves in -- as she said in her famous speech: "How dare you?"
She is giving voice to the Saturn principle, the voice of conscience, or in Freudian terms, the superego. For Thunberg, the Saturn principle is intensified by Pluto; there is an undeniable power in Thunberg's judgement that comes from a very deep place in the collective psyche, as well as a burning resentment of the authorities who have failed to act.
The Saturn-Pluto cycle seems to have a strong correlation with themes of ecological degradation and crisis, often resulting from human activity. But it also seems to be related to attempts to curtail the devastation and defend the natural world. As always, Saturn represents both the crisis itself and the attempts to thwart, negate or otherwise contain the crisis.
It will be interesting to see how/if this part of her personality shifts as she gets older. Although there's the stereotype of the judgy old person, her brand of judgment seems very youthful in the sense of being uncluttered by the nuance that many people accumulate over time.
Well, I have my own biases, but I'm inclined to see her as broadly justified in what she's saying (I'm no expert on everything she's said, mind). There is another sense in which her youth plays into this, in that she is a member of the generation who will live to experience the most dire consequences of climate change; consequences that the boomers she rails against are unlikely to live to see.
Her autism is another factor in all this, and that no doubt influences the very singular way in which she expresses herself, and perhaps parts of that are reflected in her chart. But I agree with you, it will be interesting to see how she continues to express her chart as she gets older.
An interesting counter point to Thunberg is Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is a living embodiment of the Saturn-Pluto complex, first as a ruthless Terminator (Saturn-Pluto conjunction 1984), then as a Rebublican 'Governator' (beginning during the last Saturn-Pluto opposition), followed by a third act as a climate action campaigner/activist.
Come to think of it, Thunberg would make quite a good Terminator in a parallel universe where she pursued an acting career. I can easily imagine her going after the fossil fuel execs who did everything they could to muddy the waters around climate science. I would root for her in that film.
Yeah, not everyone is that lucky. That summer of 1986 had a lot of planets placed well in terms of essential dignity including Jupiter in Pisces and Mars in Capricorn. Christopher Renstrom did a NORWAC 2024 lecture on people who have things placed well in terms of essential dignity, and one of his examples was Lindsey Lohan, born July 1986 -- some of the same stuff as me/Karen Attiah.

Thank you so much for the mention!

Ah, yes, I typically find it harder to read for people I'm very close to. It doesn't feel astro-hygienic enough!

Fascinating insight into astro twins! How interesting to have one you can follow in real time.
