Today’s most obvious aspect is the Full Moon, but this installment of Weekend Entertainment Guide seems more flavored by the approaching opposition between Mercury in Sagittarius and Jupiter in Gemini exact on November 18 — lots of short little news stories! I had to use lower-resolution charts than usual to get everything to fit in one email.
Saturn also stations direct at 12°41’ Pisces today. It’s a great opportunity to buy my book Impossible Dreams: Hopes, Fears, and Expectations for Saturn in Pisces!
Full Moon 11/15/24
On an individual level, today’s Full Moon screams, “Expect the unexpected!” The Moon is conjunct Uranus, making the energy more volatile than a typical Full Moon. However, the Moon-Uranus conjunction is trine Pluto, so any disruptions may ultimately work out for the greater good.
On a world events level, the current Full Moon reminds me of the November 2021 Lunar Eclipse that attracted a lot of speculation about President Joe Biden’s health because the Scorpio Sun fell on his late Scorpio stellium. As it happened, Biden wound up having a colonoscopy that day, and Vice President Kamala Harris assumed presidential powers for 85 minutes.
Alex Jones loses his website
It sounds like a satirical headline that would appear on The Onion, but it actually happened — The Onion bought controversial commentator Alex Jones’s website!
NBC News reports that the November 14 sale of Infowars happened as a result of Jones filing for bankruptcy in late 2022, when transiting Pluto was closer to his natal Venus in Capricorn. Jones is now experiencing his Chiron return, like everyone does around age 51. For him, Chiron is in individualistic and independent Aries. Whether or not one agrees with Jones’s viewpoints, it’s easy to see how, from his perspective, this would be the ultimate manifestation of the Chiron in Aries wound — I went and freely expressed myself, and now look what happened.
Jones filed for bankruptcy because he was successfully sued for defamation by families of victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting and ordered to pay a total of nearly $1.5 billion in damages. Gemini is the sign associated with early childhood education, so it is interesting that Jones has a natal conjunction between Saturn and the South Node in Gemini. Either Saturn or the South Node can serve as the thing that brings you down, and Jones has a double dose in Gemini. Of course, Gemini also rules off-the-cuff comments!
Time of birth is unknown for Jones, but his Moon at the Libra/Scorpio cusp is close to Uranus at 27° Libra. It makes sense that Jones as a Moon-Uranus person is in the news at a Full Moon conjunct Uranus. The Full Moon also T-squares Jones’s natal Sun-Jupiter conjunction in Aquarius. Perhaps there is a part of Jones that is embracing the opportunity for a fresh start — the Associated Press reports that he is already broadcasting from a new studio.
Finally, Jones has natal Mercury in Pisces, not great in terms of essential dignity, square Neptune in Sagittarius. This configuration isn’t ideal for successfully nailing down the facts. Such configurations are not limited to any particular end of the political spectrum, though. Funny enough, Anthony Fauci, no friend of Jones, has a very similar natal configuration of Mercury in Sagittarius square Neptune in Virgo.

, A boon of wild provisions from the soulA full Moon conjunct Uranus with Saturn going Direct is a bit like taking the cola bottle, shaking it vigorously, and then popping the lid on a hot summer day. If you are not careful, wet, sticky soda will be everywhere tomorrow.

Stay tuned to see how this develops.

, Beyond the Headlines: Astrological Insights into a Troubled TimeAnderson points out that the United States is now going through a Chiron return — and so is Richard Allen, who was convicted of murdering two teenage girls in Delphi, Indiana, in the days following Anderson’s post.
As reported by wane.com, the local CBS affiliate in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio, Allen’s defense attempted to stir up prejudice against pagan and occult spiritual practices, which may be a manifestation of Saturn in Pisces:
Before the trial began, Allen’s lawyers had sought to argue that the girls were killed in a ritual sacrifice by members of a white nationalist group known as the Odinists who follow a pagan Norse religion, but the judge ruled against that, saying the defense “failed to produce admissible evidence” of such a connection.
Oddly enough, Delphi, Indiana, recently appeared on a list of small towns that are paying people to move there.

, Lesson 2: Promote and preserve viewpoint diversityThis could be the high dream of Pluto in Aquarius:
The early FIRE leadership team consisted of a conservative executive director along with yours truly (who at the time was an almost embarrassingly stereotypical Bay Area lefty) as legal director. The team also included a conservative Catholic, a hardcore Marxist, an Evangelical Christian, and a run-of-the-mill lefty. We were a small team back then. After work we used to go out and drink, smoke cigarettes, dance, and argue about the existence of God.
And let me tell you something: As a too often self-superior atheist, I was very quickly humbled by the fact that probably the most open-minded person on staff at the time was the Evangelical Christian. She turned out to be the most interested in — and not the least bit offended by — my views on religion, which was a profound wake-up call for me. It disabused me of many of the unfair ideas I had absorbed about Christians during my days living in the Bay Area.
An album for Jupiter in Gemini
I recently rediscovered Yeezer, the Kanye West/Weezer mashup album created by Alex Hodowanec (Chuckie Nugget) in 2015.
Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo and Kanye West are both June Geminis with their birthdays very close to each other — Cuomo is June 13, 1970, and West is June 8, 1977. Unfortunately, both of their charts on Astro-Charts are untimed. Even though West and Cuomo did not collaborate intentionally, the Gemini theme of twinship makes a lot of sense for the two of them being mixed together.
Both West and Cuomo also have a lot of Libra in their birth charts. The 2015 Yeezer release, time unknown, does not have anything in Gemini, but it does have the Sun, Mercury, and the North Node in the first decan of Libra interacting with natal placements for both Cuomo and West.

Cryptocurrency update
This month, Bitcoin has been at all-time highs as transiting Pluto makes a final pass over its natal Jupiter at 29° Capricorn. Transiting Jupiter in Gemini is also square Bitcoin’s natal Uranus in Pisces.
Fascinating as always. I took special note of your mention that Saturn is going direct (at last). As one of your contributors to your first book, "Impossible Dreams," on Saturn transits through Pisces, I am on the edge of my seat to see what the final act of Saturn will be as it crosses my 15 degree Venus, the focal point of a Yod to Pluto and Neptune with natal Saturn in Virgo opposite. My impression is that this, my final of three transit oppositions of Saturn to natal Saturn, is more challenging than the prior two. Like Saturn is finishing its materialization of events brewing my whole life.
“Ashland recommends practicing intentional solitude at today’s Full Moon in Taurus.” This is where I am at today. I have been on somewhat of an internet fast the past few days. I did break the fast to read this week’s entrainment guide. Good stuff as usual. RIP Mikey.
